With the October school holidays approaching, families looking for a last-minute getaway might find something worth considering at Park Holidays UK.
Whether you’re looking for a few nights in a caravan, a coastal escape or somewhere to take your campervan, the latest promotion includes selected holiday accommodation, touring and camping breaks.
What’s Included in the October Half-Term Offer?
- Up to 25% off selected holidays, touring and camping.
- Holiday accommodation from £139 as advertised in the promotion.
- Touring and camping from £12 as advertised in the promotion.
- Arrival dates: 23–30 October 2026.
These are promotional starting prices, not guaranteed prices for every park or date. Check the booking website for current availability, inclusions and terms.
The discount is advertised as up to 25%, which means the actual saving will depend on the break you choose.
We always recommend comparing the final booking price rather than choosing a holiday purely because of the headline discount.
Why Consider a UK Holiday Park This Half-Term?
One of the advantages of a UK holiday park break is the flexibility. You can enjoy days exploring the local area, spend time on the park or simply relax in your accommodation.
Depending on the park and dates, you may find facilities such as indoor swimming pools, entertainment venues, restaurants and children’s activities.
October weather can be unpredictable, so it’s particularly important to check which facilities are open before booking.
Our Recent Park Holidays Stay at Hengar Manor
We recently returned from a family stay at Hengar Manor Holiday Park in Cornwall, where we stayed in a Platinum caravan.
We were genuinely impressed by the accommodation. With its timber finishes, high ceilings and lodge-style interior, it felt rather different from many of the caravans we’ve stayed in over the years.
Of course, every holiday park and accommodation grade is different, so our experience at Hengar Manor shouldn’t be taken as a guarantee of what you’ll find elsewhere.
If you’re considering a Cornwall holiday, you can read our full review, including what we thought of the accommodation and park.

We also filmed our stay so you can see the accommodation and holiday park for yourself.
Five Things to Check Before Booking
- The total holiday price. Check the final amount, including any compulsory charges and optional extras.
- What’s open in October. Swimming pools, restaurants and entertainment may operate different schedules.
- Accommodation type. Compare the size, facilities, heating and accommodation grade.
- Travel costs. A cheaper break much further from home might not represent the best overall value.
- Cancellation conditions. Check the booking terms before paying, particularly for a last-minute holiday.
Is a Last-Minute October Break Worth It?
We think the answer depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re flexible about location and accommodation, a late deal can be worth investigating.
For families tied to school holidays, finding a reasonably priced break can sometimes be difficult, so it’s useful to compare several options.
Equally, don’t feel pressured to book simply because an offer advertises a large percentage discount.
